Pastels for a picnic

Kaavan piirsin itse Blueprints of Fashion: Home Sewing Patterns of the 1940s -kirjasta löytämäni mallin mukaan

Yesterday we had a picnic and a photoshoot for a 2013 calendar with some Fintage members. I don't have any pictures of the actual picnic as I had so many things to carry there simply wasn't any space left for a camera. We had the picnic on a beach near by, but when we were finishing the photo shoot part it started raining so some of us never actually got to the eating part, which was a shame.
The outfit of the day was a self made 40's style cotton dress. I bought the fabric from a local fabric store. The pattern I drafted myself after a picture I found in the Blueprints of Fashion: Home Sewing Patterns of the 1940s -book

    1. Hi Leonie. Real vintage is harder and harder to come by so it's a pretty handy skill to be able to make your own vintage style outfits. Don't worry about dressmaking being difficult, you'll get there, it just takes a lot of practice.

      Thanks for stopping by! :)
