Flower child

Poikkesin tässä männä viikolla taas pitkästä UFFilla. Olen tietoisesti vältellyt koko paikkaa, koska minusta vaatteiden hinnat ovat nousseet ihan älyttömyyksiin. Vai kuulostaako 18 euroa villakangashameesta teistä kohtuulliselta? Kirpputorilla? Mekko on iki-ihana 60-luvun pitkä kotelomekko. Kangas on painettua puuvillaa, jossa komeilee ihania retrokukkasia vihreän eri sävyissä. Nyt vaan tarvitaan tilaisuus, johon tämän pukea.

Mihin tilaisuudeen sinä tämän pukisit?

I went to this large chain thrift store called UFF this week although I have been knowingly trying to avoid it. Mostly because of their drastic raise in prices. Or does 18 Euros for a pencil skirt sound reasonable to you? At a flee market? Not to me. Well I was passing by when I got this itch, that I must pop in, and my itch was right. There were several cute skirts and dresses I wanted to buy, but I only ended up buying 3 skirt and one dress and paying myself sick for them. But it was well worth it, cause I love them so. The dress is a 1960's printed cotton, long sheath dress with retro flora in wonderful wonderful shades of green. Now I just need an occasion to wear it.

To what occasion would you wear this dress to?

  1. Mmm tough one. It's very pretty but I can't think where you'd wear it...maybe a picnic?! Also, I find it so annoying as well when thrift stores charge almost as much as new clothes for their stuff.

  2. Cirque Du Bebe: Exactly. I like the idea of buying as little as possible from large chain stores, but even though recycling and upcycling is very trendy right now, it doesn't mean I would pay just about anything for old worn out stuff that's not even vintage.
